Men's Basketball 2021-2022 Season Recap

The Dolphins had another successful season in 2021-2022. With a record of 22-8 the Dolphins won the NJCAA Region 10-D1 Regular Season Championship for the second consecutive season.  The Dolphins returned nine players from the 2021 Regular Season and Region 10-D1/Atlantic District Championship team that participated in the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, KS. Navigating a very tough schedule, and seeded number one, the experienced and deep group of Dolphins fell short of their quest for back-to-back tournament titles with a semi-final loss in the Region 10-D1/Atlantic District Tournament. Josiah Shackleford was named NJCAA All American for the second season in a row, along with being selected as Region 10-D1 Player of the Year and first team All Region 10-D1. Philip Burwell was All Region second team selection. Lance Anthony made first team NJCAA Academic All American for the second season in a row with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He was selected as a commencement speaker at BCC graduation. The Dolphins graduated 11 players from the 2021 team and will return one player in 2022-2023.
