Dolphins Set Record and Secure Home Win, Herbert Leads Attack with 26 Points
The Brunswick CC Dolphins Men's Basketball team returned to action after the Thanksgiving break with a solid performance at home tonight against the University of Mount Olive JV team. The 6-1 Dolphins got off to a strong start, setting a new school record by scoring 83 points in the first half to take an 83-34 lead into halftime. In the second half, the Dolphins continued to play well, maintaining a steady offensive attack to finish the game with a 155-74 victory. The 155 points were the most in school history, surpassing the previous record of 133 set in 2001. Every player on the team contributed to the scoring effort, with Tre' Herbert leading the way with 26 points. Alius Bowser followed with 21 points, Zion Gardner added 20, and Blake Bartney scored 18. Linwood Rowe chipped in 10 points to round out the top scorers. It was a strong team performance, with balanced scoring across the board and a complete effort from everyone on the roster. The Dolphins leave tomorrow to play in the East Georgia State Classic in Swainsboro, GA this weekend where they will face South Georgia Technical College on Saturday at 2pm and the host East Georgia State College on Sunday at 3pm. #BccNextChanceU
