Dolphins Fall To Host In Second Day of East Georgia State College Classic

In a hard-fought rematch of their earlier home victory, the Brunswick CC Dolphins Men's Basketball team (7-2) came up just short, 69–64, against East Georgia State College on Day 2 of the East Georgia State College Classic today. The Dolphins came out strong, battling back and forth with the Bobcats throughout the first half and taking a 38–35 lead into the locker room. Brunswick continued to create good opportunities in the second half, but a few late turnovers and shots that normally fall just missed their mark, allowing the home team to slip ahead. East Georgia State then hit some key free throws down the stretch to hold on. The Dolphins were led in scoring by Blake Bartney with 13 points, led in rebounding by Linwood Rowe with 7 and in assists with 4 by Darius Kane. The Dolphins will look to bounce back next weekend as they look forward to hosting their Holiday Classic. Brunswick will take the court at 3pm on both Saturday and Sunday, with a 1 pm game each day kicking off the action each day. The event starts on Friday.
