Dolphins Win at Cape Fear CC 105-68, Get Season Sweep of Rivals

The NJCAA-D1 #20 ranked Brunswick CC Dolphins Men's Basketball team (23-3) made a loud statement on the road Wednesday night, traveling to Cape Fear Community College and defeating their rivals 105–68 to complete the season sweep. A fast start set the tone early as the Dolphins jumped out to a commanding 22–4 lead. A stretch of turnovers allowed Cape Fear to respond with a run of their own trimming the deficit but Brunswick regrouped and took control heading into halftime with a 46–31 advantage. In the second half, the Dolphins turned up the tempo. Defensive pressure around the basket sparked transition opportunities, leading to easy scoring chances. Staying true to their "strength in numbers" identity that has defined the season, Brunswick's depth proved overwhelming. The Dolphins outscored the host 59–37 over the final 20 minutes to seal the dominant 105–68 victory. Twelve different Dolphins found the scoring column in a balanced offensive attack. Jamie Brooks led the way with 24 points, while Linwood Rowe and Darius Kane added 17 each. Viktor Alao contributed 12 points, and Alius Bowser chipped in 10. Another complete team performance. Another statement win.
