Lady Dolphins Cap Remarkable Season with Region 10 Semifinal Run, Fall 62-46 in Region 10 Semis After Fourth Quarter Cleveland CC Rally
The incredible turnaround of the Brunswick Community College Lady Dolphins Basketball program was on full display this season and it continued all the way to the NJCAA Region 10 Tournament semifinals. After recording just three wins during the 2024–25 season the Lady Dolphins responded with determination and resilience finishing the 2025–26 campaign with an impressive 15 victories and one of the most exciting postseason runs in the region. Entering the Region 10 Tournament as the #7 seed Brunswick CC quickly proved they belonged, first winning in the first round versus Catawba Valley CC then knocking off the #2 seeded Louisburg Hurricanes in a thrilling quarterfinal victory to advance to the semifinals. Facing #3 Cleveland Community College the Lady Dolphins once again showed their toughness and competitive spirit. Brunswick battled hard throughout the night and held the lead at the end of the first three quarters putting themselves in position for another upset. However Cleveland CC used a strong fourth-quarter run to pull away late and secure a 62–46 victory ending the Lady Dolphins' impressive tournament run. While the final score didn't go Brunswick's way the season will be remembered for the energy, growth, and determination shown by the Lady Dolphins. The team's run to the semifinals capped a year that saw the program make one of the biggest improvements in recent memory and build strong momentum for the future. With a foundation now firmly in place the Lady Dolphins have made it clear that Brunswick CC women's basketball is on the rise.
