Lady Dolphins Top Mount Olive JV, Move to 4-0
The Brunswick Community College Lady Dolphins continued their unbeaten start to the season, earning a 67-53 victory Tuesday night at home against the University of Mount Olive JV team.
Brunswick opened strong, taking a 19-13 lead after the first quarter. The visiting Trojans responded in the second period, outscoring the Lady Dolphins to cut the margin to 34-33 at halftime.
After the break, the Lady Dolphins reestablished control behind their depth and defensive pressure, outscoring Mount Olive 15-8 in the third quarter and 18-12 in the fourth to secure the win.
Princess Canady led Brunswick with 13 points, while Faith Farmer and Destiney Mitchell each added 12. Chelsea Rivera contributed 11 points to round out the balanced scoring effort.
With the victory, the Lady Dolphins improve to 4-0 on the season which is their best start since 2018 and will look to continue their strong start in upcoming Region 10 play.
