On Saturday, the Brunswick Community College Lady Dolphins Basketball team welcomed two-time defending Region 10 champion, first-place, and nationally ranked Bryant & Stratton College (VA) to campus in a marquee matchup. The Lady Dolphins went toe-to-toe with the powerful Lady Bobcats from the opening tip, trailing just 15–11 after the first quarter.
Bryant & Stratton found momentum in the second quarter, outscoring Brunswick 27–16 to take a 42–27 advantage into halftime. The Lady Bobcats continued to press in the third, extending their lead with a 15–10 quarter. However the Lady Dolphins refused to fold. Showing heart, toughness, and resilience, Brunswick surged in the fourth quarter, outscoring Bryant & Stratton 18–11 and finishing the game with a strong push against one of the nation's top programs. Faith Farmer led all scorers for Brunswick CC with 18 points, while Shamayra Monk dominated the paint with 14 rebounds, highlighting the Lady Dolphins' fight until the final buzzer.
