Sophomore Day OT Thriller: Lady Dolphins Fall 68-67 to Guilford Technical Community College

In the final home game of the regular season, the Brunswick Community College Lady Dolphins battled until the very end but came up just short in a 68-67 overtime loss to Guilford Technical Community College on Sunday. It was a tightly contested matchup from the opening tip. The Lady Dolphins trailed by just one at halftime, 31-30, in a game that featured multiple lead changes and momentum swings throughout. The biggest moment of the night came at the end of regulation. Out of a timeout, Guilford Tech knocked down a 25-foot heave as time expired to send the game into overtime — a shot that shifted the energy and forced five more minutes of intense action. In overtime, Guilford Tech jumped out to an early edge before BCC regrouped and fought back. With the game on the line, the Lady Dolphins had a final opportunity but narrowly missed a potential game-winner at the buzzer. Leading the way offensively for Brunswick were: Chelsea Rivera with 15 points Faith Farmer and Jazmine Burns with 11 points and Destiney Mitchell with 10 points
